St John At Hackney is a functioning church with an active congregation, and runs numerous outreach and community works within the local community. To assist in these vital charitable works and to help maintain the building, the Church permits concerts and dance events of quality material and a community focussed nature.

The venue has a capacity of 1000 standing downstairs (500 is comfortable amount) and room for a further 438 seated on the balcony.

The venue benefits from a top spec Funktion Soundsystem and stage set up, and lighting rig.

The Church has a licensed bar selling Artisan Ale and farmhouse Cider and a selection of spirits.
